WHAT’S NEW: Several regular European events that, a couple of weeks ago, were cautiously publicising only their first 2022 date, have now seemingly been emboldened to announce their schedules for the whole of this year.

Denmark’s ManiFest was first off the blocks, making up for the cancellation of its January party with dates for five 2022 events scheduled for Copenhagen between early March and the end of October. The five dates include September’s non-membership Fetish Fashion Party.

In France, Nuit Elastique seems to be pressing ahead with its monthly parties in Paris, having just announced new February and March dates.

The big news from Germany is the upcoming launch of a new weekend in Cologne called Fetish Festival Cologne. Hosted by online kink platform Fetisch-GmbH, and scheduled for June 3-6 (the same dates as Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig), it looks to be following a format now pretty popular in Germany — big daytime fetish/BDSM fair with parties and other add-ons.

A surprise new entry to European countries hosting fetish events this autumn is Greece. A 4-star hotel on the holiday island of Crete is the venue for a long weekend jointly hosted by Germany’s SubRosaDictum and Marquis magazine. It looks like it’s aiming for a mini Plunge vibe, with its basic four-day stay extendable to a week for those who are more vacation-minded.

In the Netherlands, Boudoir Bizarre had no sooner announced four dates spread between January and December this year than it was forced to abandon the first of these on January 22. This makes April 9 its new first event of 2022 — if government regulations allow.

Sweden’s Club Abzint, meanwhile, has dropped the March date for its Kink Madness and Kinkbash 2022 events in Stockholm, moving Kinkbash to June 18 — a date it will now share with Abzint’s Sideshow Cirkus night.

WHAT’S NEW: Florida’s premier party organiser Fetish Factory has made several changes to dates announced earlier. Its Glam Fetish Party has been pulled from January, though with rescheduling promised, while Feb 12’s Alter Ego night has been replaced with a Valentines Ball on the same date. Currently, this means 2022’s first Alter Ego night will now be on Mar 13.

In New York, Fetish Tribe dropped its planned first Impact night of the year, which will now be on Feb 12. And we’ve now added the Dallas Fetish Ball on Feb 19. In June, meanwhile, we have clarified that Torture Garden New York will be a one-night event on Jun 25 — not two nights as originally stated.

We have also re-listed Endless Night’s New Orleans Vampire Ball as a three-day event, as the Ball itself on Oct 29 is bookended by related events on Oct 28 and 30.

Finally, Australia’s Oz Kink Fest in Melbourne has added a second set of dates, Oct 14-24, to the original March dates — March now also including a Hellfire Resurrection night on Mar 18.
