FAB.London closing with month-long sale, but continues online
Despite the sad news of Camden Stables Market’s popular fetish emporium FAB.London closing in April due to site redevelopment, the business will continue online while, hopefully, a new bricks-and-mortar location is secured. And what’s more, between now and the shop’s last trading day on April 19, there’ll be a month-long closing down sale! Banner: FAB.London owner Max Deviant and partner Marnie Scarlet. The news about FAB.London closing down after almost nine years trading at Camden Stables Market has come as a blow not just to the capital’s fetish fans but to the many visitors from beyond the city and beyond the UK who have made enthusiastic pilgrimages to the shop’s various Stables Market locations over the years.
The reason for FAB.London closing down is Camden Market’s plan to create a music venue at the Stables Market, apparently necessitating the eviction of all the occupants of the market floor on which FAB.London is currently located.
This means the last day of trading for the bricks-and-mortar store will be Saturday April 19, which is Easter Saturday.
This date has been widely announced on the socials. But The Fetishistas can now confirm that prior to the closure, there will also be a month-long FAB.London closing down sale, starting Wednesday March 19.
Details of individual bargains have not yet been announced. But admirers of the latex design and performance talents of owner Max Deviant’s ‘other half’, Marnie Scarlet, may want to bear in mind that FAB.London is the exclusive outlet for Marnie’s legendary latex creations (see examples above).
And Max tells us that having contacted all his regular suppliers, he has been heartened by the amount of supplier support extended to him for the FAB.London closing down sale.
So it sounds like an in-person visit will definitely be worthwhile if you’re looking for a bargain. Until April 19, you can find the store at: Unit 99a, First Floor, The Stables Market, London NW1 8AH. Opening hours are 11.30am–6.30pm, Tue–Sat (closed Sun and Mon).
However, if a trip to the Stables Market shop itself isn’t feasible, Max reminds us that, despite FAB.London closing its shop, the online trading side of his business is going strong. And in fact, it should soon be expanding, with a new eBay store joining the existing FAB.London website (see links below).
With luck, FAB.London will eventually re-open at a new bricks-and-mortar location. It’s early days yet, of course, but we will of course let you know when there’s any news on that front. In the meantime, fingers crossed — Max and Marnie’s shop-opening parties are always a joy to attend!
