Fetish events 2022: more dates added as the new year boots up.
JANUARY 2022 COVER STORY: Numerous additions and other changes have been made to fetish events’ 2022 schedules in the three weeks since our December preview. This persuaded us of the need for a new article combining all the updates with all the still-current listings from the old one. And this is it: the very latest compilation of this year’s UK, European, North American and Rest-of-World fetish dates, with direct links to promoters’ own info pages. Since, just before Christmas, we published our year-end impressions of 2022’s fetish event horizon, party promoters have been adding more events for the new year as well as moving or cancelling some original listings.
We therefore decided to create a new events overview for January, containing all these updates plus all the listings from the original article that currently remain unchanged.
So in one place, you can see everything that has changed and everything that has stayed the same. All updates are flagged in red.
Needless to say, all our earlier warnings about paying due heed to the covid situation still apply until further notice.
The most important one, in relation to listed events, is that the events situation remains fluid. Any date we have listed now could still be cancelled or postponed later because of changes in government regulations.
Every event listing in this article is linked directly to the website, Facebook event page or booking page of the event’s promoter. This way, with one click you can access the latest info each promoter is publishing about their event.
This is to help you ensure that an event you want to attend is still going ahead, and also to check what conditions of attendance are in force — such as proof of testing or vaccination, mask-wearing etc.
If you are thinking of travelling to another city or country for an event, you are advised to visit the websites of the host city authority or national government to check any entry conditions for that country or city.
If considering international flights, be very sure that you fully understand all the risks of making your proposed journey at a time when international travel rules may change at very short notice.
If an event you have booked for is cancelled or postponed, most fetish event promoters will offer you the option of a full refund or ticket transfer to their next event.
However, other upfront costs such as fares and accommodation may be harder to reclaim unless cancellation is a direct result of government edict.
Travel insurance may therefore be a wise precaution. But be careful as it may not fully cover covid-related cancellation.
2022: EVENTS IN LONDON AND REST OF UK (by date)
WHAT’S NEW: First new addition to our 2022 UK events listings is the two-day London Fetish Film Festival, which was originally set for just before Christmas but has now been rescheduled for mid-January (14-15) at The Hen & Chickens.
We now have confirmation of January 30 as the date of the next Le Boutique Bazaar pop-up shopping event — Dirty Valentine, co-hosted by Torture Garden and Wasted Chic. And we have also now added into the London listings below the six ‘ordinary’ TG monthly events at Electrowerks and Scala that were omitted from our pre-Christmas article for space reasons.
We’ve also added our first Rest of England event listing of 2022. To be hosted by Valen Vain, Kate Sway and Lylia Jane on May 13, Kinky Erotic Nature is Hull’s fetish/erotic/cabaret extravaganza, aka KEN, an acronym presumably chosen to avoid frightening too many horses.
All other events listed are exactly as in our pre-Christmas article, ie they are still being treated by their organisers as going ahead.
