editions of Dominatrix. She’s moving on to fresh pastures, and may well prove a hard act to follow.
But of course, the show must go on, and I have just learnt that the MC job in March is going to London-based Australian Reuben R Kaye, who is well known as Director of Cabaret des Distractions at Café de Paris and as a performer at the Box, Soho. He was recommended by Xarah von den Vielenregen, who will be taking over organisation of the dinner shows.
Additional information about the Dominatrix March 2015 event can be found in two dropdown panels at the bottom of this page.
The models signed up for it by press time are all listed in the panel titled Models Attending in March 2015, while a guide to booking event tickets and rooms ino the event hotel can be found under Booking Tickets and Hotel for March 2015.
NOVEMBER 2014 REPORT BY HEIDI PATTERSON
Overall, I thought November 2014’s Dominatrix was a successful event that more or less lived up to its good press.
It’s disappointing to me (and no doubt to the event organisers) that fetish party venues in central Amsterdam are so difficult to come by, hotels in the centre are so expensive and large room blocks so tough to acquire.
So I do wonder how much more of a draw the weekend would be to international guests, If those issues could be overcome.
As things are, the weekend takes place near the North Holland town of Uitgeest, about 30 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam, and its location just off the A9 motorway seems remote.
I enjoyed Friday’s Models Meet and Greet, held at the hotel. Promoter Reinier was a lovely host and MC, and it was a pleasure to see familiar faces, and also finally meet in person some people that I have followed for a long time on Facebook, such as Sarah Scarlet, Jade Vixen and several among the sizable Swedish contingent in attendance who had so recently helped me with my Swedish models interviews.
On Saturday evening we attended the Fetish Dinner and Miss Fetish Europe awards ceremony held in the main party venue complex. Getting to the venue itself was a little tricky, as one of the two taxis supposedly providing a shuttle service hadn’t shown up by the time we needed to leave the hotel.
But we managed in the end, and I quite enjoyed the awards ceremony and the dinner entertainment. It was a pleasure to be there when the Miss Fetish Europe winners were announced, since two of them were my recent interviewees, Starfucked and Psylocke!
A pleasure to be there when the Miss Fetish Europe winners were announced, since two of them were my recent interviewees Starfucked and Psylocke!
We then went to another part of the complex, a warehouse-like setting with two levels and a balcony around the perimeter where one could watch the revellers and the shows.
Initially it felt rather early for us, but the crowd seemed to arrive not long after. We headed to the upstairs VIP area, where the party’s latex-loving contingent seems to congregate.
A Dutch friend’s characterisation of the Dutch scene as ‘Gladiator Central’ described conditions downstairs
pretty accurately, with the level of dress on the main floor trending towards Gladiators and near-nudity.
That said, the party does bring clubbers, BDSM players and fetishists together under one roof, and accommodates all three interests very well. And if you want fetish eye candy, there’s plenty on stage during the fashion shows, Dominatrix being a hot ticket for fetish models and great photographers.
The night was MC’ed again by Nina de Lianen, who has been quite an asset to these events of late. As press time approached, we learned she wouldn’t be MC’ing any more, which is a real shame, as she’s always so delightful to see.
One of the best things about the event itself was the professionalism of the fashion shows, both in performance and staging. The shows were tight and well lit, and didn’t drag on for too long.
My favourite was by Kim West, whose wearable and elegant matt latex styles were shown to the accompaniment of the label’s own dedicated song, recorded by Alabama 3, no less!
The VIP area filled up after the shows were over and the models and photographers came up to party, making the space very hot, but lively.
My favourite part of the weekend (event organisers, take note!) was surely the Oyster Man, who treated people in the VIP area to delicious fresh-shucked oysters and Bloody Mary oyster shots. I’m pretty sure I ate my weight in oysters that night!
The ten galleries of photographs with this article illustrate what went on at all the events within the November 2014 weekend. To accompany his pictures, Tony M has provided notes about each gallery which you can find in the dropdown panel titled Guide to the November 2014 Galleries.
In addition, I’ve outlined a few things to plan for if you’re going to the Dominatrix March 2015 party, which is quickly selling out. You can find them in another dropdown panel headed Heidi’s Recommendations and Suggestions for March 2015.

Models Meet & Greet on Friday March 13: admission is free to party ticketholders; venue is the London Lounge on the second floor of the event hotel.
Event hotel is the Van der Valk Hotel Akersloot, Geesterweg 1A, 1921 NV Akersloot. Tel: +31 (0)251-361888; Fax: +31 (0)251-314508. Rooms must be booked directly with the hotel. To get the event discount, book via the hotel website or by phone using the code DOM13.
If you’re outside Holland, we recommend booking online if you want the process to go smoothly. The hotel is situated just off the A9 motorway and has plenty of free parking if you’re thinking of driving. Schiphol is the nearest airport and from there, the cheapest way to the hotel is by train. Nearest station is Uitgeest and from there it’s a short taxi ride to Hotel Akersloot. dominatrix.nl dominatrix.nl/tickets/order hotelakersloot.nl
Hotel: The Van der Valk Akersloot has several wings, and several different room types to choose from. It’s worth the expense of booking one of the renovated standard deluxe rooms in the main wing, as the hotel is a maze of different additions, levels and hallways, which are confusing to anyone with a poor sense of direction like me. The standard rooms are very spacious, however, and if you’re driving, the ease of car park access from different parts of the hotel is useful. I found the front desk staff during the day very inscrutable, but the young man on night duty Saturday was a dear, and even unlocked the pastry case for us.
Saturday Night: The venue complex, now called A9 Studios, is advertised as only 500 metres from the hotel, so it’s conceivable that one could walk, I suppose. But we opted for a taxi, which proved problematic, since the early evening shuttle service of just one or two taxis was inadequate for the numbers needing a ride from the hotel. If the weather in March is decent, and you have walking shoes, you may do better to walk to the party. We left earlier than many of the partygoers, so getting a taxi back was not an issue.
Money: One thing I did not expect was how difficult it was to pay for things at the party! Foreign credit cards simply don’t work at the venue, where you’re also required to purchase drinks tokens to buy your drinks; nor can the cashiers be relied upon to have change for €100 notes. So, be prepared to bring cash and carry notes in smaller denominations. (Also, cash in — or buy a last round with — your remaining tokens, as they change between March and November.) I’d also like to caution you that the Dutch-centric credit card problem we encountered is not limited to the party venue, and that even buying a train ticket from station ticket machines is not possible with a foreign card. Luckily the hotel takes plastic though.
Dining: The hotel’s restaurants are a popular weekend attraction with locals, so you may need to book a table on Saturday night if you plan on dining there. One large dining area was being renovated in November, which didn’t help matters. The food looked good but the menus are not exactly a vegetarian’s delight; for another visit I’d pack lots of nuts and things.
Party: If you’re more of a fetishist partier, I recommend getting a VIP ticket if you can afford it, because it gives you access to the separate upstairs balcony and bar where you’ll run into most of the international guests and fetish party regulars (and of course free oysters!). Plan on arriving early upstairs so you can secure an optimal viewing spot at the railing.
There was such a lot of good stuff to photograph at the last Dominatrix in November 2014 that I ended up having to create ten different galleries to present my pictures in a reasonably accessible way — writes Tony Mitchell.
These pictures give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from the different elements of any Dominatrix weekend. Just bear in mind that the Miss Fetish Europe awards only happen once a year, at the November dinners. So at the March dinner, you still get the meal and the cabaret acts, but no awards ceremony.
Also, as you will have read elsewhere in this article, the substantial contribution to the November event evident in these galleries from Nina De Lianin turned out to be her Dominatrix swansong. MC since November 2013, she has now parted company with the event and won’t be hosting in March or beyond.
GALLERY 1: MODELS MEET & GREET
This informal get-together in one of the hotel’s private bars kicks off every Dominatrix weekend and they get more raucous (in a good way) every time.
As tradition now dictates, host Reinier More handed out ‘welcome’ bottles of bubbly to designer guests including Kim West, Sasha Louise and Max Kuhl (although Brigitte More got Jack Daniels) and much well-oiled networking ensued into the early hours.
The same gathering also gave me a platform to announce the launch of The Fetishistas’ new website — with a speech that few people could hear through the feeble PA system. So it was a soft launch in more ways than one.
GALLERY 2: DINNER AWARDS AND SHOWS
Awards at the dinner went to Psylocke (Miss Fetish Europe 2104), Starfucked (MFE 1st Runner-Up), Morrigan Hel (MFE 2nd Runner-Up) and Dani Divine (Best Up & Coming Model 2014).
All of them appeared pretty much lost for words. Advice to future contestants: prepare your acceptance speeches in advance in case you need them, and try not to be fazed by actually winning!
One of the evening’s two cabaret turns was provided by Nina De Lianin, who also co-hosted the dinner with Reinier. She delivered a great musical theatre number despite apparently not having the right kind of chair or microphone.
The other performance was by Xarah Von Den Vielenregen, who did a languid vintage-and-eastern-themed burlesque strip. It was an admirable example of ‘the show must go on’, given that she had lost her husband (the legendary Herr Dokter) just a couple of weeks previously. What a trouper.
GALLERY 3: PARTY PEOPLE
We photographers at Dominatrix are asked to ensure that we shoot a reasonable number of regular audience members as well as all the glamorous models that we obviously pursue for pictures.
The audience at this event is very friendly and a lot of them ask to have their pictures taken, as people also do at TG in London. I always say yes, and have ended up with some great ‘people shots’ over the years from these chance encounters. Admittedly Dutch fetish partygoers aren’t as into extravagant dressing-up as their British or German counterparts, but they certainly like to have fun.
Take the first I shot: the man had just bought some chainmail pieces from a vendor at the party, and he was really determined to rock his new look. OK, the overall effect was still kind of gladiatorial, but at least he’d put some thought and investment into it.
The latex-wearers in this gallery were mostly photographed in the upstairs VIP bar, where the serious rubber lovers tend to stick together (not literally) for mutual support.
GALLERY 4: NINA, DANI AND PSYLOCKE
This is a little collection of shots of hostess Nina de Lianin on the catwalk at various points in the evening, chatting to the audience and introducing Dani Divine and Psylocke, two of the earlier dinner’s big award winners.
GALLERIES 5 – 10: THE FASHION SHOWS
London label Pandora Deluxe (Gallery 5) opened the first set of fashion shows with an S&M vignette featuring (mistress) Amrita and (slave) Heterandria. The style very much suited designer Mags’ new Fusion Collection pieces with their stud, chain and chainmaille decorations.
Sasha Louise (Gallery 6) took up the London baton with her unique ‘latex web’ designs that have been photographed on the likes of Miley Cyrus. Since this gallery contains some close-ups, I would just like to point out that Sasha, who works with Kim West (also on tonight’s bill) ensured that all her models were wearing identical ‘nude’ thongs under their outfits. So don’t get over-excited about what you think you can see in these shots!
Rubberluv (Gallery 7) used to be a British label, but now it’s owned by Inner Sanctum supremo Max Kuhl. The new designs shown here paid homage to the original label’s style but with more references to current tastes. Models included the inimitable Jade Vixen, and the finale was a wedding party with Max and ‘wife’ arriving onstage in a pony cart pulled by none other than Psylocke in full regalia!
The second half of the show started with the evening’s third UK label, Bondinage (Gallery 8). Designer Stephen Fuller’s latex creations have always had a particular appeal to the dominatrix fraternity, and he’d assembled some suitably powerful-looking women to walk for him. Many of the outfits featured Zeppelinesque megaboobs, gracing the likes of Sinteque, Roswell Ivory, Sister Sinister and Morrigan Hel.
Next came the evening’s fourth and final UK label, Kim West (Gallery 9), with latex the like of which has not been seen on the Dominatrix catwalk before. That’s because Kim mainly uses chlorinated latex with the matt side (made silky by the chemical treatment) on the outside. There were many styles to choose from, but the super-clingy red and black numbers were the standout styles for me.
Last but not least, Dutch designer Brigitte More (Gallery 10) began her show with a live vocal number from Nina de Lianin, heralding the arrival onstage of Cuban hottie Idelsy Love and Hollands’s Lara Aimée in shocking pink latex outfits trimmed with black. After a musical interlude in which Nina performed with saxophonist Tijs Kok (yes, really), the mood went military and introduced us to Brigitte’s new creative partner, Colombian wunderkind Snake.
The second half finished, as the first half had, with guest model Max Kuhl proving once again what an exhibitionist he his.
