The new, ‘lighter’ version of Coffee, Cake & Kink has now attracted more than 420 backers who, at the time of writing, have pledged £36,256 toward the initial £35,000 target figure, with half a day still to run before closure at midday tomorrow (March 15) UK time.

The £35,000 is the minimum additional funding that CCK’s founders need to set up the new venture. Total budget for the project is actually between £80,000 and £100,000, but more than half of this will come from other funding streams.

If the Kickstarter campaign passes its first target, there is a second target of £50,000 that will allow the funding of valuable additional features.

Kickstarter represents the all important ‘community part’ of the fundraising for this project — and the kink community has already shown itself willing to back two other recent Kickstarter projects.

These are the restoration and remastering of cult movie Preaching to the Perverted and, just completed, the raising of more than $48,000 for the $40,000 campaign by San Francisco-based Brit Polly Whittaker to finance publication of her pervy memoir.
