Pleasure Bay 2025: Marquis and SubRosaDictum’s Greek getaway
MAY COVER STORY: The newest addition to the relatively niche ‘sun, sea and sand’ genre of fetish getaways will celebrate its fourth year in October when Pleasure Bay 2025 returns to the Greek island of Crete for a another long weekend of kinky hedonism. With a sell-out predicted for this year, this collaboration between German fetish brands Marquis and SubRosaDictum is also debuting an ‘XXL’ package with optional extra days at the start and finish of the standard four day programme. Our preview includes all the booking options plus photos from last year’s gathering (banner image: @mmaexxphotography)
In the beginning, explains Marquis publisher Andreas, it was the desire to find a place where you could live out your fantasies — not just for a few hours, but for a few days.
And if the weather was good, the location had a pool, it was by the sea and provided great food, it wouldn’t be the worst ever getaway.
Then came covid, when the ceiling fell on all our heads and the desire for a refuge grew bigger and bigger.
The hotel. says Andreas, was indeed “a stroke of luck”. Located in its own bay, it nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Greek island of Crete, and was just far enough away that you could leave all your worries behind.
And so it was that Marquis Magazine and its partner SubRosaDictum — the Munich-based fetish and lifestyle events promoter — launched the first Pleasure Bay in 2022.
“It was unbelievable,” one of those attending that first event remembers. “There were only a few of us and the island experienced a violent cyclone that flooded the airport and forced us to stay inside the hotel. But we didn’t let the fun be taken away! There was dancing, partying and indulging one’s cravings!”
2024 saw perfect weather and 170 guests
A year later, the second Pleasure Bay was better-attended and the weather was perfect. Many visitors booked again, and in 2024 — another perfect weather year — Pleasure Bay attracted around 170 people.
“We learned our lesson: the Greek Gods were envious of this party so we need to invite them every year,” says Andreas.
“What I still find totally crazy,” he adds, “is that people come from all over the world to celebrate with us: from the USA, China, Dubai, Japan, France, Scandinavia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, and of course Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Great Britain!
“We have a great international audience and the energy is great. Many already know each other, and even as a first-timer you quickly make friends.”
“Our guests want to celebrate, enjoy, have fun,” adds hosting partner Christian from SubRosaDictum, whose experienced fetish event organisation team is significantly involved in the implementation of Pleasure Bay.
“Every like-minded person is welcome,” he promises, “and the play area is always well-attended!”

This year, Pleasure Bay will take place from October 24 to 27 in Crete again. However, this year sees the introduction of an ‘XXL version’ of the event (October 23-28) for the first time. What is this, exactly?
“We listened to our guests and were able to convince the hotel to give us two more days,” Christian explains. “This gives you the chance to arrive at the hotel and gently immerse yourself in the fantasy world of Pleasure Bay, then party for three days, and then have a quiet day to surface at the end.
“On these additional days, the hotel is also completely reserved for Pleasure Bay guests. This means that guests can, if they wish, change into their outfits earlier and arrive already in their roles for the weekend.”
In addition to the parties, Pleasure Bay’s programme offers workshops, fun at the pool (with vacuum beds and Zorb balls for example), and opportunities, if you wish, to
have your holiday memories captured by the renowned photographers who’ll be on site to professionally stage personal photo shoots.
“We are still planning a few things, but we don’t want to reveal them until we’re really 100 percent sure they’ll work,” says Christian. “The logistics are not easy — after all, Crete is an island — but Pleasure Bay is a magical place and we don’t want to disappoint guests.
“What we are extremely pleased about is the high rate of visitors who return — it‘s incredible that more than two-thirds of our guests book again!
“And some write us very nice messages in cases where it doesn’t work out for scheduling reasons. That totally touches us!
“This year we will probably be sold out for the first time, given how well bookings have gone since the advance sale began. We can only advise everyone to book as soon as possible, because we can’t guarantee availability indefinitely.”
MODELS, Pleasure Bay 2024 (@anirei_letgo)
If this year’s Pleasure Bay is beginning to sound like a kinky getaway you might like to experience for the first time, you will of course want to know more about what’s on offer.
To begin with, the hotel is unique. Built into a mountainside, it lies like a huge, stranded ship in its own bay in the wild east of Crete. The bay provides warm, clear water — a diver’s paradise.
The five-star Istron Bay Hotel has a total of around 150 rooms, all of which, with very few exceptions, have a sea view. The large bar area, the spacious pool area and the beach, which ranges between fine gravel and sand, all add to the Pleasure Bay experience.
Accommodation at the hotel is on a half-board basis, which includes a late breakfast buffet, where even late risers can enjoy a rich, healthy, Greek, European or British breakfast.
Evening dining will include the already legendary barbecue evening, while the other nights will feature a five-course à la carte menu with large salad and dessert buffet.
Guests’ physical wellbeing is top priority
Unsurprisingly, the event’s German hosts say they regard guests’ physical well-being as so important that it provides the basis for everything else.
The bar is now “phenomenally equipped” to dispense great cocktails, whiskeys, wines and beers, or whatever your heart desires. Pleasure Bay DJs will ensure a good atmosphere around the clock.
“In the afternoons at the pool area, then in the evenings at the parties, the audience is given what they want!“ Christian promises.
Pleasure Bay 2025 promises some great entertainers and VIP guests who will be announced gradually as the event grows nearer. The first of these to be announced is Queen Milan (seen on the far left of the model foursome in our top-of-page photo) who’ll be doing a pole-dancing show.
“I couldn’t ask for a better partner for Pleasure Bay — my crazy idea — than Christian,” adds Andreas. “And at the same time we are also good friends.
“And that is the best thing about Pleasure Bay: you get to meet so many great people and friendships are made so incredibly quickly here. It’s a miracle!”
