PART 3 OF THE KINKEN AWAKES – the last in our three-part fetish event round-up – looks at events planned for the US, Canada and Rest of World (aka Australia) over the next 15 months, from July 2021 to September 2022. Our focus is mainly on the big, multi-day fetish weekends and kink conventions, plus some individual events from high-profile partying brands. Dates may still change if circumstances change, so please read the Covid Warning below for factors to consider when planning your partying. COVID WARNING: the events listed below reflect their details as advertised at time of publication. But they could still be subject to change in the future, owing to covid related factors beyond organisers’ control, such as government changes to national or local restrictions, travel limitations, or venues pulling out.
The listings here for 2021-22 include many of the biggest international fetish events planning to return to their usual homes in North America or RoW after one or more postponements. Anyone thinking of attending from outside an event’s host country especially in 2021 should pay heed to local regulations, and to all the additional factors that might affect their travel plans both in their countries of departure and arrival.
Assuming travel is actually permitted, there may well be extra costs for vaccination, testing and quarantine to be added to the price of the trip. If you plan on buying travel insurance, make sure it covers you for covid-related risks, which many policies don’t.

It set its 2021 live clubbing return to be an Alter Ego night on June 12, followed by further monthly dates from July to December. Currently its upcoming 2021 dates are:

RUBBER BALL USA returns to Minneapolis-Saint Paul for a weekend of events in August 2021

After 2020 cancellation, RBUSA reconvenes in 2021 with its headline Ball on Saturday 7 at the Historic Concord Exchange in South St Paul. The main event is supported on Friday 6 by the Kinky Boots Fetish Dinner (already sold out), followed by the Evil Queen’s Fetish Party, at the Cityview Room venue in Minneapolis.

DOMCON LOS ANGELES
Having suffered earlier postponement, the original LA edition of the leading pro and lifestyle domination convention is now set to return as a full-scale live event in August 2021 at the LAX Hilton. With its vending space already sold out, DomCon LA will offer a mix of industry seminars, dinners, meet & greets, social gatherings, play parties, mistress photo shoots and numerous other events supporting its three days of vending (which include workshops, presentations and performances) and Saturday’s headlining Fetish Ball.

Described as the “central gathering for the vampire culture and community of Salem and New England”, this event will offer a mix of music, mystery, entertainment, performances and ritual at the Hawthorne Hotel on Salem’s historic Washington Square West.

Provisional schedule for Domcon New Orleans at the Astor Crowne Plaza in the French Quarter follows a pre-event registration day with four activity-packed days and nights. Opening and industry-only events will occupy much of Thursday 28, while Friday sees the start of three days of vending including presentations, workshops and stage performances all day. There’ll also be socials, play parties, photo opps and more.

Father Sebastiaan’s legendary four-day Samhain (Halloween) celebration in New Orleans is headlined by the Vampire Ball itself on Sat Oct 30. It is supported by six further events on the four days Thu-Sun Oct 28-31.

Torture Garden has announced TGLA at the Globe Theater on Saturday November 6, with local hosting by Faustian Society. UK’s Charlie Bouquett and Matt Skully are among the performers. Ticket price range of $40 – $1,200 may seem jaw-dropping to UK TG fans but follows typical US provision of multiple VIP options for this kind of event.

Posptoned from 2020 then replaced by Lost Fetish Fetish Weekend in May this year, FF’s 25th anniversary event returns with nine parties over five days around the last weekend in May 2022 — with full fetish hotel takeover. Sadly for would-be globetrotting kinksters, FFW’s 2022 dates coincide exactly with the German Fetish Ball’s 2022 schedule in Berlin. This is not selfish rivalry but an unavoidable clash that arises because both events are tied to public holidays (Memorial Day Weekend in the US and Ascension Day Weekend in Germany) whose dates sometimes coincide. FFW 2022’s seven main events are as follows:

Postponed from 2020 and 21, the 20th anniversary of the Tampa Bay area fetish/ BDSM trade and public show moves again, to August 2022. Taking place at the Hilton St Petersburg Bayfront, this 4-day convention is currently undergoing a website rebuild so only very basic info is currently available. Refunds on earlier events were due to start July 1 2021, with new sales of tickets, vending space etc starting Oct 1.

Postponed from 2020 and ’21, the 16th annual edition of Montreal’s big weekend, billed as its “Rebirth Edition”, offers a five-day core programme bookended by extra days at start and finish. Planned events include: Kinky Picnic; Latextacy Fetish Fantasy Ball; Night of Masks Ultra-Play Party; After-Parties; Fashion Show. MFW events normally take place in and around the city’s Gay Village. Passes bought for cancelled years will be automatically transferred, while new VIP and Trio passes for the 2022 weekend are already on sale at reduced rates.
