The 2020 LFW’s ‘upcoming’ listing status for October 1–4 on Facebook has now been updated, confirming that the event has definitely been cancelled.

“After careful consideration,” says a brief statement from hosts Max Absolute & co, “the London Fetish Weekend team have decided to cancel all events in 2020. We will be back in 2021.”

LONDON TATTOO CONVENTION 2020
Postponed until July 30 – August 1, 2021

This year’s earlier date for the London Tattoo Convention has fallen foul of coronavirus restrictions, and LTC has been “forced to postpone” this year’s event.

All advance tickets purchased for 2020 will be honoured for the 2021 event on July 30 – August 1, it says.

Refunds are not mentioned, but under UK law, the face value of tickets that can’t be used for cancelled or postponed events is normally refundable.

MANIFEST HEDONISM, Copenhagen
May 2020 ‘put on standby’

ManiFest has announced that all its parties, including Hedonism on May 31, have been ‘put on standby’ — which means they’re not happening until further notice.

Very decently, the club, which requires membership for all its events except the annual Fetish Fashion Party, has paused all memberships from March 1 until whenever the next ManiFest event is able to take place.

So members will not lose out by having paid for a period when no events could happen. Meanwhile, you can keep up to date with ManiFest fetish event updates by subscribing to its newsletter via the website.

This open-ended online event starting at 20:00 replaces the traditional BoundCon Weekend party hosted by Munich’s premier pervy party people.

The Facebook blurb about tickets and dresscode suggests that possibly some info about the original live Kesselhaus event that should have been deleted has been left in place.

SubRosaDictum’s SubRosa.Underground@Drella, its preparty for BoundCon Weekend at Call Me Drella, Munich on May 22, has been cancelled (although it’s still shown on its Facebook events page as ‘on’).

SubRosaDictum has been replacing other recent live parties with online versions, and this looks likely to continue for the time being.

TORTURE GARDEN ITALY 2020, Rome

After hanging on to its 2020 dates until the bitter end, Ritual — which hosts the annual TG Italy party — was finally forced a few days ago to admit that Covid19 restrictions had beaten it and, in the briefest announcement, to postpone its May 30, 2020 event until May 2021.

However, a week after cancellation, the 2020 event is still shown as ‘on’, on its Facebook event page, on Ritual’s Torture Garden Italy website, and on Torture Garden’s own website.

Also, the Italian online ticket agency’s page for the event, which is linked from the main TG website, is still apparently selling tickets. Otherwise, they’ve done a really great job publicising their fetish event updates.

UNLEASHED SPRING PARTY 2020, Amsterdam Postponed until July 17, 2021

Having already rescheduled its Spring Party once from March 20 to June 6, 2020, the postponed Unleashed has been caught by the Netherlands’ banning of all events this summer, and has vowed to return in July next year.

Unleashed’s plan is to continue its relationship with the legendary Paradiso venue, and is promising a “magnificent summer event” there on July 17, with doors opening early evening.

In the meantime, e-mails are being sent to people still holding an Eventix ticket for the original party to inform them of their options.
