LFW 2019 fashion: Le Boutique Bazaar and LAM Fashion Video
In this first report from LFW 2019, fashion in London’s fetish world is the topic of our galleries and video. There’s photography from fashion-focused shopping event Le Boutique Bazaar, plus the fashion video by Elegance N Violence and Hyder Images, featuring seven of the designers at this year’s London Alternative Market LFW Special. But to put both into context, we begin with a brief recap of this year’s four-day LFW programme, which surely boasted something for everyone. London Fetish Weekend 2019, held between October 3 and 6, managed very successfully to offer something for a wide range of fetish tastes, from hardcore BDSM to hardcore fashion and all points between.
Fetish Theatre’s two-night run at Hen & Chickens Theatre, opening the programme on Thursday 3, combined live performance of new work The House with video highlights from the first London Fetish Film Festival curated by Venus Raven.
Friday 4’s Kinky Drinkies at Bishopsgate Institute Library’s Fetish Archive brought together people from the BDSM, fetish and alt-fashion sides of the scene with an interest in the history of our modern scene, particularly London’s (substantial) part in it.
Serious BDSMers thus inclined were then able to put theory into practice later the same evening at the Absolute Mischief Play Party at a secret London Bridge venue.
Saturday 5 daytime provide the first of two shopping days courtesy of LAM (London Alternative Market) at its regular Revolution Bar venue. Vendors represented many of the UK’s best-known BDSM brands, as well as a respectable complement of fetish fashion labels.
LAM also hosted the première on Saturday of the LFW 2019 fashion video made by Daniela Fanetti (aka Elegance N Violence) and Hyder Images featuring LAM exhibitors — which you can watch below!
A Saturday evening cabaret show, also hosted by LAM at Revolution, was followed by the main event of the weekend: the LFW 2019 Doll House Ball, hosted by Team Absolute and ZDR Events at Scala.
Even without a fashion show per se, the Ball was an extremely colourful affair, both on and off stage.
Onstage, shows from Mistress Amrita & Giada Da Vinci, Constance Peach, Topanga Love, and Venus Rave & Winter James performing Folie à Deux, all managed to combine glamour, exotic obsessions and downright naughtiness in different but equally creative ways.
The audience rose to the occasion with a lot of effort put into themed outfits that were just begging to be photographed in one or both of the Barbie-inspired sets available in the downstairs bar for all to pose in.
There was plenty more LFW 2019 fashion in store on Sunday 6 for those with the stamina. In addition to a second afternoon of shopping at LAM. And in addition, the weekend’s fully fashion-focused market, Le Boutique Bazaar, was taking place ‘just up the road’ at For Your Eyes Only, where it enjoyed one of its busiest ever trading days.
The weekend closed with the usual LFW After Party at Revolution on Sunday evening.
This LFW 2019 fashion report ends with two galleries of pictures from Le Boutique Bazaar plus the LAM Fashion Video featuring six minutes-plus of hot fetish clothing and accessories from seven designers exhibiting at LAM. Images from the weekend’s other events will be added soon.
