German Fetish Ball 2020 update: more line-up and ticket details
UPDATE! German Fetish Ball 2020 Weekend tickets are now on sale for the main events in this year’s five-day Berlin fetish fest. By yesterday only KitKat party host FetishGuerilla had announced any actual line-up details, but today’s completely revised update adds new info about the Ball and other events. For GFB organiser Xklusiv it’s been a tough year, with date clashes, forced postponement of a big party launch and a Facebook ban, to which it can now add uncertainties about the coronavirus. This article also includes new Inner Sanctum and Latex 101 GFB 2019 fashion videos. Banner by Tony Mitchell: Ian, Honeyhair and Shea at 2019’s Ball
Mistress of Ceremonies for 2020’s Ball on Saturday May 23 will again be Leigh Hutchinson, returning after her well-received debut as MC last year.
Ball fashion shows so far confirmed are new label Antidote London Latex, plus Jaded Jewall, Maniac Latex, Pandora Deluxe and Amentium.
Antidote is a hotly-tipped new UK brand, while the others have all given great catwalk in previous years at the Ball, and will no doubt do the same again in 2020.
With confirmation by one more designer currently awaited, the fashion show will definitely feature six labels this year.
And there should be a model list appearing on the GFB website within a week, if the models remember to send in their pictures as requested.
Stage performances are not yet confirmed, but René of Xklusiv does say he has “a very cool poledance duo and a new bondage performer couple” in mind.
The music floors at usual venue Spindler & Klatt will feature GFB residents DJ Hedo and DJ ALF and his personal DJane, plus “maybe one guest DJ on each floor”. A photo booth will again be run by artveo.de.
In its usual pre-Ball Friday slot — May 22 this year — FetishGuerilla Revolution will take place as ever at Berlin’s KitKatClub.
More than a dozen DJs have been engaged for the party. In alphabetical order, they are: Aline & Suné, Andreas Barth, Christopher Lawrenz, Faray, Ocelus, Räubertöchtäs, Schrod, Sebo, Sekto, Søren, the figurehead and Truman Kaputti.
Kaputti, incidentally, is also the organiser of Hamburg event Studio Lovemasters which, FGR host Martin Pelzer confides, is “well on its way to becoming the wildest fetish party in Hamburg”. Coming from Pelzer, that’s no small compliment.
FetishGuerilla 2020 will also feature performances from Syban, Ginger Synne, Martini Cherry Furter and more to be announced.
The party runs from 10pm to 8am, with an entry price of €30 on the door. There is no general advance booking, but admission is included in the advance-purchase GFB Weekend VIP Package (€145) from GFB host Xklusiv.
In recent years, the FetishGuerilla night — pre-party to the German Fetish Ball itself — has boasted the largest attendances for any individual event within the GFB Weekend, running to as many as 1,400 people.
What effect might coronavirus have?
FGR would normally be expected to achieve a similar figure this year. But that won’t be so easy if Berlin enforces German health minister Jens Spahn’s call for event attendances to be restricted to 1,000 people because of coronavirus.
And even if any limits imposed don’t affect individual GFB events, potential concern about the virus makes overall public support for the five-day Berlin event harder to predict.
Nobody can say at the time of writing how the virus situation in ten weeks’ time might affect willingness to attend events, whether or not people bought tickets in advance.
At this point, ten weeks before the big gathering, the official GFB website shows a 2020 schedule very similar to 2019, with this year’s dates but a limited amount of new info and a mix of old and new links.
But Xklusiv deserves some sympathy if its info is a bit late this year, as the GFB host was already not having the best 2020 before the coronavirus was even ‘a thing’.
We already noted this year’s GFB Weekend’s head-on clashes both with the Florida Fetish Weekend (on the same five days May 20-24) and BoundCon in Munich on May 22-24.
But since then, Xklusiv has also had to cancel a major event launch and spend time in ‘Facebook prison’.
The promoter’s new Fetish Easter Weekend in Dusseldorf, scheduled to take place on April 10-14 this year, had to be shelved, reportedly due to loss of the venue. The plan now is to launch it over Easter next year.
Added to that, the German Fetish Ball 2020 Weekend, like some other big annual fetish gatherings including Florida Fetish Weekend, fell foul of Facebook’s seemingly capricious censorship of fetish-related events.
A reprieve was issued just a few days ago, so the GFB is back on Facebook again now, with event info and a direct link to Xklusiv’s GFB ticketing page.
But when Facebook is such an important marketing medium for events like the GFB, even a short FB ‘prison term’ can do a lot of damage to ticket sales which the promoter then has to try to make up for somehow.

Despite some detailed event content still awaited on the official GFB website, the site’s ticketing page has been updated with 2020 ticketing info (available in English and German).
As with Facebook, the GFB website page links to Xklusiv’s GFB ticketing page, where you can actually buy individual tickets, as well the VIP Package, for all GFB 2020 core events. (Info on the separate Xklusiv ticketing page is currently only available in German.)
Advance tickets are currently available from Xklusiv for these individual events: German Fetish Ball, GFB Sonic Boom, GFB Sweet Surrender and German Fetish Fair (€20 for two days).
Alternatively, the VIP Package (€145) covers all the above events as well as getting you into the VIP Reception before Sonic Boom, and into the FetishGuerilla Revolution party.
The VIP Package saves you up to €30 on the individual ticket prices combined. Reservations for The Fetish Cruise and Femdom Dinner are not yet available.
We aim to keep you up to date, both here and on our sister site The Fetishistas Directory, with developments in the 2020 GFB programme and any new related ‘external’ issues that might arise.
Our travel plans have been made and, barring quarantine or worse, we hope to see lots of you there again this year!
