Three labels replace dropouts in Dominatrix new line-up
Three latex designers have stepped in at short notice to fill fashion show slots relinquished by labels originally signed up for this month’s Dominatrix weekend.
Out from the March 14the Dominatrix new line-up detailed in our original preview go Los Angeles-based BlackLickorish Latex, Madrid label MadRubb and British designer Dayne Henderson.
Taking their places are Amsterdam-based designer Sebastian Cauchos and two British labels: London’s Slaughter House Couture and Leicester-based Catriona Stewart Clothing.
Sebastian Cauchos (banner pic, right) creates what he calls “dignified rubber fashion”. He fetishises elegance, prudery and conservatism by taking modesty-preserving women’s styles from everyday life such as the office blouse, trench coat and hijab, and rendering them exquisitely in latex.

Working with model-muses including Marilyn Yusuf, Mary Jale and Synesthesia, he originally produced his designs primarily for his own artistic satisfaction, but fetish scene enthusiasm has persuaded him to offer a made-to-measure service for devotees too.
Slaughter House Couture is a bespoke latex company specialising in one-off custom pieces, and counts among its clients many well-known names from the international dominatrix fraternity.
Designer Kirsty Robertson (banner pic, left) has also created exclusive latex collections for retailers such as Honour/Skin Two and Coco de Mer.
Catriona Stewart (banner pic, centre) uses her background in lingerie and bodywear design to create tailored and supportive rubberwear with a modern fashionable edge.
Working hard as a disabled woman in the fetish industry, she applies her in-depth knowledge of the different needs of customers, spending the time to develop patterns that ensure real quality of fit.
Catriona says she understands that most purchasers view latex as an investment, and works to make sure
The three new labels join original participants Am Statik, Dead Lotus Couture and Eudoxia’s Latex to bring March’s catwalk show back up to a six-designer line-up, split on the night into two fast-paced halves.
In another change, the show — and the preceding fetish dinner — will now be hosted by Berlin-based Brit Jack Woodhead. Jack replaces Australian Rueben R Kaye, who was to take over from previous MC Nina de Lianin until a prestigious mainstream engagement came up that clashed with the Dominatrix date.
Trained as a classical pianist, Woodhead is now an acclaimed host in Germany and beyond, combining virtuosic piano skills with singing, comedy and haute couture style. This unique mixture has brought him to venues all around the world, including The Famous Spiegeltent Melbourne, Breitling Gala Basel, CSD Hamburg, London’s Pigalle Club and Proud Cabaret, Submarine Magazine Athens, Munich Burlesque Festival and Wintergarten Variete Berlin.
And since our original preview article was published, the show roster has acquired even more models. Among those swelling the original list are: Cypryn (Germany); Brigitte More, Bunny Glittergun, Jacky Vilain, Milla Vie, Miss Mirjana, Rachael V and Virus Infekt (all Netherlands); Sabien DeMonia and Zara DuRose (both UK); and Alesia Crow and Delia Rowena (both Belgium).
Commenting on the last-minute label changes, Dominatrix promoter Reinier More said:
“Sometimes things happen in your private life that make all other events temporarily not important at all any more. We do understand this and fully support the designers in their decisions to cancel their shows for this edition of Dominatrix. But be sure that they will be back at one of the upcoming events.”
We understand that Dayne Henderson has already accepted Reinier’s invitation to show at the next Dominatrix in November 2015.
