Having launched Am Statik in 2009, creative director and designer Amy Day has since made hundreds of pieces, collections and one-off costumes in latex and mixed materials for customers worldwide.
Since winning the coveted Best Fetish Fashion Design award at the 2013 German Fetish Ball, Amy says she has been working hard to refine the brand’s direction.
And, she adds, she’s been working even harder on applying her technical, sculptural style to “ready-to-order pieces that you can mix and match to make a statement of you own”.
The launch of the new online store now enables customers to buy handmade-to-order pieces from the new Am Statik Coercion collection and the previous Muse collection.
Muse, shown in 2015 at the Dominatrix international fetish party in the Netherlands, was influenced by some of the best-known, most-followed models on the scene.
Working with questionnaires and looking at their individual styles, Amy created capsule outfits in an array of colours and styles to provide a unique look befitting each model’s iconic style.

Meanwhile, the brand new Am Statik Coercion collection, which made its debut at London latex fetish night Rubber Cult earlier this month, is the label’s first range of “bondage and seductive latex wear”.
Combining her knowledge of high fashion with a desire to explore concepts of restriction and bondage, Amy describes Coercion as “a darker sensual collection suitable for looking fierce and fashionable” while also allowing exploration “in more personal environments”.
“Fashion, fetish and bondage come together to create a cohesive selection that restrict and elate,” she explains.
The Am Statik Coercion collection, with styles for women and men, has a “rawer, more sensual energy”, demonstrating a nod to the magazine AtomAge and “to latex as a fetish material with the technical workings of bedroom wear”, she adds.
Perhaps the most innovative Coercion design is the Detain hoodie. This piece may at first appear to be a standard sportswear item rendered in latex.
But it incorporates an ingenious selection of zips to turn it into a restrictive straitjacket-style garment. The Bound dress also performs a similar dual rôle.
The Am Statik Coercion and Muse collections can both now be viewed and ordered from the website below.
