Steve Diet Goedde Masuimi Max print is Sept subscription treat.
Steve Diet Goedde, famed LA fetish photographer, is celebrating a classic shoot with the equally legendary Masuimi Max in the latest issue of his subscription mini-prints. September’s image features a very dominant-looking, corset-clad Masuimi in a new print from the shoot that provided the cover of his 2005 DVD. Steve tells us the story behind the new image, and we tell you how to sign up for a low-cost monthly subscription, plus how to get previous prints from the collection
Masuimi Max, looking extremely dominant in leather corset and fishnets, is the subject of Steve Diet Goedde’s September mini-print issue.
The shot (see below and centre image in banner above) is an alternative version of one of Steve’s most famous Masuimi Max photos, which appeared on the cover of his 2005 DVD Living Through Steve Diet Goedde.
“I discovered it while going through my original medium format negatives,” says the Los Angeles-based photographer, and thought it would be a great acquisition for my subscribers.
Steve has found that previously unprinted ‘outtakes’ from shoots that produced very well-known images can be just as popular as the original frames he chose to print.
Such is the inimitable Ms Max’s popularity that he thinks the new Masuimi print might well enjoy the same response as “a few prints back when I chose an alternative angle of my famous Midori gargoyle photograph”.
Goedde started his mini-print subscription service last year when he suddenly lost his longtime day-job due to the covid pandemic.
“I had to find new ways to generate income, and thankfully offering affordable mini-prints to fans has helped quite a bit,” he says.

For $10/month ($15/month outside the US) including postage, subscribers receive a monthly limited edition mini-print signed on the back by the artist.
Every print comes in a transparent plastic sleeve, inside a stiff protective folder and a sturdy mailing envelope.
Each print is also accompanied by a credit-card-sized artist’s commentary providing the story behind the image and really bringing each shot to life.
For example, the blurb for the new Masuimi Max print reads as follows:
This is an alternative angle of one of my favorite images of Masuimi Max. Many assume her extreme waist was digitally altered but it’s all because of the angle the photo was taken.
Yes she was corseted down to 16 inches, but she was also leaning forward over me, thus placing her waist further back making it look even smaller than it already was.
And her bust was closest to the camera, making it look slightly larger than normal. Taken in 2003 with available natural light at my buddy Scott Ezzell’s place in downtown LA.
