Max Deviant close to opening his FAB fetish shop in Camden.
Max Deviant, ex-Libidex and Radical Rubber (and also well-known to many on the fetish scene as Marnie Scarlet’s partner), is now not far off opening his new fetish shop in Camden Stables Market.
Max has been receiving stock from numerous clothing and accessory suppliers in the last week, with more scheduled to be delivered before he opens.
Labels currently represented at FAB include Apple Tart, Corsets by Caroline, House of Harlot, Karina Akopyan, Katrina Lilwall for Stripped Beautiful, Lady Lucie Latex, Mantis London, Miss Katie, Prong Jewellery, Scarlet Diva, Shahin for Leather Stud.IO and Zorenko London.
Max Deviant tells us he hopes to hold his official launch party in early June, but expects to be able to open for business a little before the official launch date.
To keep abreast of FAB’s opening plans, check out Max’s posts on Facebook at his personal profile (aka Max Pecoraro) and his shop page at FAB – Fetish Alternative Boutique (links below).
But why open a bricks-and-mortar fetish shop in the capital now, when even long-established names like House of Harlot haven’t been able to sustain one?
We visited FAB during its set-up period and Max told us the story behind his departure from Libidex and his decision to establish a new store with an emphasis on off-the-peg latex brands.
Look out for the answers in our interview with Max Deviant later in May.
Incidentally, for those who associate the shop’s address with well-known alternative hair salon Pepi’s Hairdressers, Carlos and his Pepi’s team are still cutting hair in the rear of the space.
