LONDON FETISH FILM FESTIVAL 2023 AWARDS
STOP PRESS: The LFFF 2023 Awards were originally listed as taking place on the 2023 Festival’s second day (December 23). But since first publication of this article, the Awards have been rescheduled as a separate event planned for January 2024. The information below still applies to the upcoming Awards; the only difference is that it is now a preview of what’s planned for next January.
LFFF 2022 Best Cinematography award-winner speaks!
MATTHIAS VON BRAUN on participating in the Festival
UK filmmaker Matthias Von Braun, whose short films have been featured on The Fetishistas, won the London Fetish Film Festival’s 2022 Award for Best Cinematography with Machine (above), and is represented at the 2023 event by his latest film Impenetrable.
Asked for his impressions of the LFFF as a previous participant and award-winner, he told us: “The London Fetish Film Festival is very much an audience-focused film festival, and the team does an excellent job of curating sex-positive films from around the world.
“I was impressed by all of the work I saw last year. Some films were bold and beautiful, some were raw and shocking, and some were very funny. There was a great atmosphere, with genuine excitement evident among the audience. I’ve attended a lot of film festivals and in fact, this one might well boast the best live audience!
“It was a pleasure last year to watch two of my films with this audience and listen to their responses. I’m pleased that my latest short film Impenetrable has been selected and will be screened at the 2023 festival later this month.
“I think this is a great film festival for anyone who wants to watch creative sex-positive kink-friendly films with an open-minded audience.”
