Hosts of annual fetish gatherings increasingly mirror the marketing style of mainstream events, posting dates and making at least some tickets available up to a year ahead.
This is great for pervy partygoers as, theoretically at least, it enables considerably more time to plan for the fetish weekends you most want to attend.
But wouldn’t planning also be easier if you could find information in one place about all the fetish weekends in 2020 that might interest you?
That’s exactly what this Fetishistas guide sets out to do. Using the newly updated Fetishistas Events Directory as our basic resource, we’ve compiled a list of 20 fetish weekends in 2020 that should offer something for all tastes.
To qualify for inclusion, our chosen events all comprise at least two events on consecutive days, at least one of which must fall on a weekend.
Currently the typical fetish weekend runs for three days — Friday, Saturday and Sunday — although right now we’re seeing more four- or five-day gatherings, and we’ve even included one week-long fetish vacation here!
Most of our 20 suggested weekends emphasise proper fetish dresscode partying, or at least include it in
Be warned, however, that a few promoters of annual fetish weekends had not announced their next dates in time for inclusion in this guide.
So their events are not present in our initial roundup of fetish weekends in 2020 — but we might well add them as ‘stop press’ items when the info becomes available.
Just as we were ready to publish this guide, some big news we’d been sitting on — the debut of Torture Garden Berlin — was prematurely broken by its ticket agency before the event’s official announcement.
With the cat out of the bag, we felt there was no point continuing with its original ‘disguise’ in this article as a ‘mystery weekend’. Initially only the headline party on Saturday February 29 is confirmed, but we’re promised there’ll be supporting events on Friday and Sunday.
In the meantime, for any weekends without 2020 dates yet, you can always check out their 2019 listings in The Fetishistas Directory, which will give you at least an idea of what you might expect next year.
Incidentally, the Directory is nearing the end of a substantial offline revamp aimed at making it more user-friendly, both for the general user seeking info and for the 600-plus events and latex businesses with listings currently on the site.
And you can be sure we’ll have a lot more to say about all that as soon as the revamp goes live!
Undisclosed venue, central Ohio
Ohio-based pansexual, polyamorous, BDSM/kink/ creative group AIS (Adventures In Sexuality) starts its year with this Friday and Saturday convention offering ‘top notch opportunities’ to learn from local and national presenters, and ‘extravagant learning spaces’ to practise what they’ve preached.
Undisclosed resort hotel, Cabarete
Plunge is more than a weekend: it’s a Valentine’s week-long fetish vacation combining Caribbean sun, sea and sand with as much pervery as you can handle! Fees cover all accommodation, food and drink charges; only your travel to the resort is extra. Co-hosted by the legendary Kip and Domme Trips, Plunge is now invitation only — but you can ask to be invited!
Breaking news is that Torture Garden is coming to Berlin in February 2020 – the year it celebrates its 30th birthday! So far only the headline event on Saturday 29 has been announced, but the hosts tell us they plan to add supporting events on Friday 28 and Sunday March 01, making this a full Berlin weekend.
Undisclosed hotel, Houston TX
Long-established, this invitation-only event of much-enjoyed traditional character offers four days of socialising, fashion, shows and vendors plus a pool party and fetish ball at a hotel location in the Houston area. Those seeking an invitation can make contact via the event’s website. (Photo: Peter Laws)
Bredeney Hotel, Essen
Debuting last year as Easter Fetish Weekend, this four-day, not-for-profit gathering offers a chance to socialise and play at the Essen hotel previously, but no longer, associated with Fetish Evolution at Easter. The name change to ‘Meeting’ is to avoid confusion with Fetish Easter Weekend 2020 (below), the new Dusseldorf event from the GFB’s hosts.
Venues tba, Düsseldorf
GFB host Xklusiv Events launches this new international gathering over Easter 2020 in Düsseldorf. Promised to be a different style of fetish weekend, it may well be of interest to those who miss Fetish Evolution in nearby Essen, but don’t fancy the Easter Fetish Meeting at the Bredeney (see previous item). Hopefully details will be forthcoming soon! (Photo: Fetish Deluxe)
Historic Concord Exchange, St Paul MN
At the moment, only details of the main event, the Rubber Ball itself on Saturday 18, have been announced by hosts Bondesque and Domina USA. But we’re promised that the Friday dinner/pre-party which makes this event into a weekend rather than just a one-night-stand will be announced soon.
Hilton Los Angeles Airport, Los Angeles CA
The original DomCon, which started in LA more than 15 years ago, returns to its host hotel by LAX for its 2020 edition. The leading professional and lifestyle domination convention, DomCon LA has grown to take up the best part of a week and attracts mistresses and their devotees from all over the world.

Spindler & Klatt and other venues around Berlin
Certainly Europe’s — and probably the world’s — premier fetish weekend, the GFB returns in 2020 for another five days headlined by the Ball itself at Spindler & Klatt. Supporting it will be the two-day German Fetish Fair, plus events including the famous FetishGuerilla Revolution party at KitKat and the recently revived Fetish River Cruise. (Photo: Tony Mitchell)
Various venues around Fort Lauderdale, FL
Early marketing of Fetish Factory’s 25th anniversary weekend ensured unprecedented ticket sales during the first six months and almost all rooms already taken in the event’s exclusive occupancy partner hotel, the Westin Ft Lauderdale. This year, a kinky sunset cruise on the local inland waterways joins such well known events as the Anniversary Ball, Xtreme Players Party and Pervy Pool Party (see main banner). The date clash with the GFB Weekend (above) was unfortunately unavoidable this year. (Photo: Drunk Camera Guy)
The famous Munich BDSM and fetish fest returns for another three-day expo at Zenith with vendors, shows, demos and workshops. The weekend includes the traditional official Party at Kesselhaus hosted by SubRosaDictum. BoundCon keeps the same weekend as in 2019, but the GFB, tied to Ascension Day Weekend, falls a week earlier in 2020, so the two clash directly.
Hosted by Ritual The Club, this annual franchised Torture Garden night is (at publication time) the only TG event of any kind so far announced for 2020. Obviously many more will follow soon. Although current details only cover the main event on Saturday night, TG Italy always ends up with supporting events that justify its description as a weekend.
Westin Westminster, Westminster CO
Denver area’s famous four-day edu-con reconvenes in Westminster in July for another packed programme of BDSM-orientated talks, demos, workshops, vending and play parties. And by the looks of things, you can expect to take away from the experience a shinier pair of boots than you arrived with — at the very least!
Various venues around Vancouver
Vancouver readies itself for the eighth edition of this growing Canadian event, now hovering around five days and including the Anniversary Ball, its notorious VIP Fetish Cruise and, reflecting 2020’s theme of ‘Lust In Space’, a Sci-Fi Fetish Ball. And it’s all hosted by one of the scene’s most personable pervy couples!
Hilton St Petersburg Bayfront, St Petersburg FL
Florida’s BDSM and fetish professional/lifestyle/ enthusiast trade and public show reconvenes in the Tampa Bay area for its 20th event, offering four days of VIP receptions, on- and off-site play parties, pool party, kinky karaoke, networking and fan photo shoot opps, plus three full days of vending. Castle in the Kassel region
Hosted by castle party specialist and GFB organiser Xklusiv, this event is described as a three-day ‘hedonistic weekend full of erotic possibilities’ at a neorenaissance castle approximately 50km from Kassel. ‘It goes without saying,” say the hosts, “that we will equip the rooms with a whole variety of toys so the whole castle is inviting for play.”
Various venues around London
Details are yet to be announced but it’s fairly safe to assume LFW 2020 will be similar in outline to 2019’s successful programme. That means theatre nights, play night, shopping with London Alternative Market and Le Boutique Bazaar, headline LFW Ball (probably co-hosted again by Team Absolute and ZDR), and an afterparty. Belle Epoque Hotel Victoria, Kandersteg
The long-running Swiss weekend-that’s-almost-a-week rocks up again at a resort hotel roughly midway between Berne and Lucerne, with a mix of dining, social events, parties, fashion shows and vending that tends to appeal to the more traditional rubberist couples among us. Full programme due in May 2020.
Various venues around Prague
Eighth outing of this four-day event begins with an ‘Entrée’ day of talks and workshops (usually in Czech language only) for those new to BDSM and fetish, followed by a fetish market day with fashion shows, a strict dresscode fetish night with fashion, shows and play, and an afterparty. More details to be announced in due course. (Outfits: Hololatex)
Castle in the Kassel region
Second edition of the couples-only weekend launched in 2019 by GFB host Xklusiv, and intended specifically for dominant women and their submissives, returns to its favoured 50-room castle in the Kassel region for 2020. Prices include three nights’ accommodation per person in a choice of rooms or suites, plus meals provided for the ladies.
There is more information on all these events and many more in The Fetishistas Directory. The Directory has 300 fetish event listings and 300 for latex businesses. Listings are free to view and no registration is required just to view them.
