French label HMSlatex is back with a new collection that designer Sophie Richardoz confidently predicts will surprise the label’s many fans.

The mood of the new styles is decidedly dark and intense, representing a bold new direction the brand has taken for the new season.

Called Bruit Blanc (White Noise), the collection was loosely inspired by butoh, the extreme Japanese dance in which “the tortured body of the performer incarnates loss, fear and the question of men’s place in the universe”.

The designs in this collection mix together futuristic elements and pure shapes in shades of white and brown. Pointy shoulders and tear-shaped cut-outs are recurring details.

The images represent another impressive HMSlatex editorial collaboration with talented Spanish photographer and digital artist Monica Chamorro, aka Phantom Orchid, and her team.

The shoot took place in Paris, and the first five images in our gallery, above right, are exclusive to The Fetishistas.
