Velda Lauder’s new Purple Heart collection is, says the designer, all about the sensuality within a woman, whether she be curvaceous or slender, Amazonian or petite.

“This collection is for all women,” she promises. “It is our most sophisticated to date and reflects the experience and creativity gained over the last two decades.

“We have fitted thousands of women into corsets and know exactly what is needed for each piece to feel and look like a couture piece no matter what the body shape of the woman.

“This collection fuses all the sculptural techniques of a classic Velda Lauder corset with the aesthetics gained from working with celebrities, corsets and lingerie internationally.”

The collection takes its name from its core pieces, made from purple dupion silk, hand-dyed to a deep indigo shade.

Beautifully photographed by Regis Hertrich on models Bex Paul, Harriet Dennant and Vicky Butterfly, the corsets are shown in our gallery with a selection of complementary babydolls, girdles, soft bras, suspender belts, panties and g-strings.

The new Purple Heart collection has been bought by stores around the world — including the UK, Ireland, France, the USA and Japan.

Among US retailers stocking the corsets are new online lingerie emporium Bella Bella Boutique and New York lingerie store La Petite Coquette (the Little Flirt), which is offering the Purple Heart styles alongside Velda’s best-selling Gothikka range.
