Inner Sanctum’s Obsession show, new showroom + sale

Inner Sanctum recently moved to larger premises, shared with Hamburg bodymod specialist Lines & Dots. We bring you pictures of the new showroom, the opening party and backstage at its Obsession fashion show, as the label holds its first Valentines’ sale

Inner Sanctum is celebrating Valentine’s Day at its new showroom with a sale offering 20 percent discount until February 15. The reduction also applies to Inner Sanctum online sales.

The company, which moved from its original Hamburg HQ to new 400sqm premises in December, has just staged a fashion show for Obsession, the city’s famous fetish night.

The show took place last Saturday at the very same Edelfettwerk venue where, in  summer 2011, the label made its catwalk debut under new German ownership at the German Fetish Ball.

The Obsession appearance produced some great new Inner Sanctum images by Stefan Weeber of Unique-Pictures.net, featuring models Christina Richter, Frau Knopf, Bloxi and Thomas Marz.

Other hot new IS imagery features Tina von Nekro shot by Lady Damona of Damona-Art.com and Frl Gore by Hartmut Noerenberg of Hart-Worx.com.

The new, bigger Inner Sanctum workshop and showroom opened on December 18. It occupies the rear of what was once a locksmith’s factory, at the northern edge of Hamburg’s trendy St Pauli district.

The opening party attracted a good turn-out of Hamburg perverati, and guests included photographers Carlos Kella and Wieglas, performer Didine van der Platenvlotburg and tattoo artist Florence. Kella’s photography was chosen for the opening exhibition.

The IS showroom alone occupies 90 sqm and, in addition to Inner Sanctum’s latex clothing range, features a selection of corsets by renowned Berlin label TO.mTO.

The label is sharing the big space with tattoo and piercing studio Lines & Dots — the Bodmod Agency. Lines & Dots’ 180sqm space incorporates four tattoo cabins and two piercing cabins, and has a team of experienced artists on standby.

One of the services likely to appeal to certain kinksters is chipping, whereby a transponder chip is implanted beneath the skin, as with pets. The data the chip stores is a 16-digit ID number, which can be picked up by a reader.

Besides the latex, tattoo, piercing and body modification areas, the building complex contains a gallery with regularly changing exhibitions of photography, painting, sculpture and the like.

The location, at Stresemannstrasse 132a, 22769 Hamburg, is close to the Neue Flora theatre, a five-minute walk from Holstenstrasse S-Bahn station, and not far from the famous Reeperbahn.

Visitors can look forward to regular events such as private shows, exhibitions, parties, and Kinky Fridays (on every last Friday of the month) when the sales staff wear latex uniforms and all garments are sold at 15 percent discount.

Monthly ‘Kinky Fridays’ at the Inner Sanctum showroom will see the sales staff wearing latex uniforms and all garments at 15 percent off
