Torture Garden’s 2009 Birthday Weekend started in fine form with Friday’s International Fetish Ball at Club Colosseum.

The opening party certainly achieved its internationalist aims with a highly visible American and European presence augmenting the usual well-dressed UK crowd.

MC’d by the redoubtable Kip, the evening’s shows by Ancilla Tilia, Vima and Mz Berlin, Suka Off and — topping the bill — American designer Roxy Contin provided plenty of colourful distraction and the whole shebang was a welcome warm-up for tonight’s main event, the Birthday Ball at SeOne.
