Final GFB 2016 updates announced today have filled all the gaps bar one in this year’s German Fetish Ball Weekend schedule. And some new (unofficial) fetish attractions have even been added.
Since shifting her career focus onto European politics, Ancilla has not been seen much onstage at fetish events. But her return to MC-ing the Ball (reprising a role she last undertook in Hamburg about five years ago) will surely be welcome.
Furthermore, the final GFB 2016 updates include the addition of popular London artist and flesh-hook suspension specialist Mad Alan to the list of performers at the Ball.
We also note that a substantially updated (translation: very different) photo-gallery of attending fetish models has now been published on the GFB site’s models page.
Comparing the gallery published in our original preview article with the new batch of 77 pictures, we discovered that only 40 percent of the new set overlapped with the original list.
We were concerned by what seemed some surprising absences from the new gallery — such as Sister Sinister and this year’s GFB poster girl Lara Aimée (both due to appear in the Marquis Ninja Show).
So we contacted these two models, only to learn that they’d simply forgotten to send their pictures in.
Oh well, good at least to know there wasn’t some kind of conspiracy to exclude them. But clearly even the final GFB 2016 updates don’t tell the whole story when it comes to this year’s attending models!
The Welcome Dinner returns to Sage (on the other side of the Spindler & Klatt complex where the Ball is held) in a modified form on Wednesday May 4.
In order to overcome the problem of groups larger than 15 not being offered the restaurant’s full menu, it has
Sadly though, it appears that the return many people had been hoping for — of last year’s Fetish River Cruise on Thursday — ain’t gonna happen.
But there is news of a ‘supplementary shopping event’ taking place on Friday 6 and Saturday 7, during similar hours to the German Fetish Fair.
Five Berlin retailers — Dos Santos, Très Bonjour, Nonon de Florette, Tom.TO Berlin and Boutique Peter Domenie — have teamed up under the banner of Kinky Shopping Weekend to attract GFB visitors to their shops/studios between the hours of noon and 7pm on both Fair days.
Al these businesses are located very close to each other in what has now been tagged the ‘new kinky corner’ of Berlin, in the city’s Mitte district. The basic idea is that if you have time to visit one of them, you’ll find it really easy to drop in on the others during the same visit too.
Kinky Shopping Weekend is rather like a mini echo of the Berlin Fetish Weekend that ran in parallel with the GFB the year it returned to Berlin from Hamburg.
No free buses this time to transport you between the GFF and the shops, but a warm welcome is promised.
At the Fair itself, you’ll be able to get more info at the stand of Peter Domenie, the only one of the five retailers that is also exhibiting at the GFF.
Finally, the three winners of our ticket giveaway for Friday’s FetishGuerilla Revolution have now been chosen, and notifications are on their way to them. Congratulations to all three and we look forward to seeing them at KitKatClub next week!
