Ardita news just released includes some striking new ArdiFoto images featuring the Dutch label’s latex, Belgian fetish supermodel Kay Morgan and Rubber Fifi, the inflatable poodle.
In fact, demand for these and previous Rubber Fifi outfits has been such that designer Barbara Sandri is now looking into adding them to her Ardita web shop.
This year has been very busy for Ardita, says Barbara — but a lot of the hard work has been happening behind the scenes.
For example, she and partner Massimo, aka photographer ArdiFoto, have been doing a lot of work on the Ardita website.
“Most of the changes are under the skin and can’t be seen by customers, but they’re designed to make the experience on our site more pleasant and clear,” she explains.
However, one very visible change is the company’s redesigned logo (above).
“Since we started, our style has changed and we didn’t feel the old logo still represented our brand in the best way, so we decided on a new logo.
“Also all our product pictures will be updated with the new logo and better imaging and cropping so you can see the colours and details better. We’ve already started updating the Chaos collection.”
In other Ardita news, the label has unfortunately had to delay its 2016 collection and doesn’t yet know if it will have a show this year.
“We’ve been working hard on designing it and we really want to come up with something special and big.
“For this we ordered a laser cutter so we could produce the collection in acceptable times, and also improve our other products and boost production.
She and Massimo are looking at the possibility of still producing a collection this year, perhaps by renting laser time somewhere else. “But we find it more important to get something amazing than to get it fast.”
Meanwhile Ardita is introducing some new and some improved products, modelled by Kay Morgan below.
HANDY: Short Gauntlets, €69, just added to the Ardita Arabesque range
The label will also start refreshing its Basic and Arabesque collections, deleting some items and adding others “so all our collections will be complete collections with a wide choice”.
One last, welcome piece of Ardita news: collaboration on the Rubber Fifi project will continue, so we can expect more amazing images to surface in due course.
